Star Wars Vehicle Collection 4 - (Set of 6) Trading Figure

It took me some time to get the set of 6 of the current Star Wars Vehicle Collection, series/part 4, from F-Toys.
Apart from the Y-Wing, which seems to be in every series, the vehicles in this series are those from the Empire.

In every series of the vehicle collection, there's a 'Secret Item'. In this series, its the Slave 1 Jango Fett version.

I do hope F-Toys would continue with the Star Wars series. The details on each vehicles is mind blowing!

Luke Skywalker Snowspeeder Gear - Hasbro's 2010 Saga Legend

Finally!

Its seems most of my toys wishlist have to do with luck.

I was strolling at a local retail shop (Parkson) when I found this. Been trying to get 'im ever since I got the Snowspeeder, but thanks to scalpers you can only obtain it at a 'price'.

This will be kept carded since its already hard to get.

So I got me a Hyena.

Star Wars Luke Skywalker's Snowspeeder - The Review

I know its late, but better late then never.

The Snowspeeder is one of my dream toy when I was a kid. It took 20-odd years for that dream to come true.

I must say Hasbro's 2010 Snowspeeder is one of the best looking toys I've seen. The detail, paneling & gimmick is up to par with todays sophisticated toys.

It does look too clean, which I might do the wash effect just like I did on Aayla's starfighter.

So I was arould KL's city centre & I thought I pay a visit to a bookstore.

It is then I found this particular book, & finding this is like finding a THunt.

So, ok, you might find this at any major bookstore, if they still have some left.

FineMolds 1/72nd Scale Star Wars X-Wing Fighter

This is the continuation from my previous entry here.
I couldn't finish earlier 'cause I only manage to work on the kit only on weekends.


Intended to build Red 5, but ended up building Red 2. All because I didn't see the diagrham properly.
The kit also includes a tiny astro droid, but I didn't bother assembling 'cause I was concetrating more on the X-wing.

Another package from Japan arrived few days back. This time its the FineMold 1/72 X-Wing Fighter.
Cost me just RM110.00 plus shipping which is I feel is reasonable.

The X-Wing needs no introduction.
This particular model has 4 version of X-Wing squadron which we can choose to assemble; Wedge's Red Leader, Red 2, Red 3 & Luke's Red 5.
The difference between the build are the droids head (R2 & R5 unit), the engines & nozzle.

The package in good condition, minimal abuse.

FineMolds 1/72nd Scale Star Wars Tie Interceptor

ITS FINALLY HERE!!
The 1/72 Tie Interceptor from FineMold, ordered from HobbyLinkJapan.

I purchased it on the 31st August, shipped to Malaysia on the 2nd of September & arrived at my office today (30th September 2009)
Nearly a month to arrive!
Then again, Raya was around the corner, so the delay was expected.

Everytime I recieved a package at my office, it felt as if I received a birthday present.
Only difference is that you already know whats in the package.

The 'Extremely Fragile! handle with care!' should be in red & in large prints.



The package received quit a beating. Good thing HLJ wrapped the merchandise/content with a hard cardboard backing, as you can see.

Sorry Wanshah. I borrowed your signature 'thumbs up'.

Will I order again from HLJ?
Yes, since I'm planning to get the FineMolds 1/72 X-Wing & 1/48 Snowspeeder.

Is it expansive?
No, considering that you can't get anywhere else in M'sia (as far as I know).
You have to be patience about the shipping date though.

Hopefully, I'll post the assembly & final part later on.

Darth Vader's Force FX Lightsaber

As promised, here a few pics on the Darth Vaders's Empire Srikes back Force FX Lightsaber from Hasbro Signature Collection.

The machanism is basically the same as Obi Wan's Lightsaber or any other Force FX, only differences is the hilt design & the sound fx.
The DV's FX is the same as the movies fx; the sinister humming of a Siths lightsaber.

Star Wars Vehicle Collection 2 - (Set of 6) Trading Figure

The 1/144 scale Star Wars 'gashapon' from F-Toy is considered the best miniture Star Wars I've ever own. The Titanium series doesn't come close.
Even though theres no moving part, no open hatch, but the details on this models is fabolous.
Those who a scale modeler would appreciate the detail F-Toy put this particular line.

My only regret is not having (or even knowing) the 1st wave earlier.

Star Wars Aayla Secura's Jedi Starfighter - Weathered Effect

I know everybody already has this toy so nothing new about it, but I wanted to do something different with this ; weathering & battle effect.

Aayla Secura's Jedi Starfighter is the 30th Anniversary toy line from Hasbro.
This particular line doesn't require stickers & doesn't have weathering like Obi Wan's has.
The painting on this is somewhat bad. Theres even paint smudges & blotches of paint.
So I took out my tamiya enamel paint & thinner. The ratio is 1:4.
I also use a flat brush for the blaster & oil effect, while a fine brush for the seam line.
I appologise for not posting the how-you-do-it, but there's a lot of how-to's in the net & on youtube.
