Hot Toys The Dark Knight Rises - DX12 1/6 Batman

The DX line are known to be the top of the line collectables from Hot Toys. It's exclusive and it's expensive, and I manage to own one.

"The Batman/ Bruce Wayne collectible is newly developed and highly detailed, specially crafted based on the image of Christian Bale as the iconic character Batman/ Bruce Wayne, highlighting the movie-accurate head sculpt, Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS) on Batman's head, specially made fabric costume with armor based on the costume design in the movie, weapons and accessories." - Hot Toys.

I've missed the chance to get DX02, 1/6 Batman from The Dark Knight movie, when it was released a year back and I've been mournful ever since. Luckily an opportunity presents itself when Hot Toys obtain the rights for The Dark Knight Rises movie and produce a 1/6th scale Batman once again.

It's heavy.
Second tray consist of custom base, user guide, PERS adjuster, crotch holder/stand and cape.

Love the PERSystem.

Alas, the EMP gun doesn't light up that well.
Close up of one of the utility belt with accessories/gadgets.
The other utility belt that holds the sticky bomb gun via magnets.

An update to Christian Bale's head sculpt which looks even more movie accurate.

Those who collects Hot Toys figure knows the amount of detail that have been put into their toy line and this is no exception. This is by far the nearest representation of an iconic character from an iconic movie done in a miniature scale.
Personally, the price point for this fine collectable is pretty steep. Yes the quality and the detail of the figure is the best there is, but the quantity of the collectables doesn't feels like it would make up for the higher price.

Next, DX11. Hi,hi,hi,hi,hi,hi,hi,hi!!

I Am Iron Man

This is considered as a must have for Iron Man (movie) fans. This 1/6 scale Iron Man Mark III is produced by Hot Toys, a toy company base in Hong Kong.

The detail on this bad boy is amazing. From the moving flaps, to the lights-up LED on his eyes, chest & hands.

The box.

Front & Back

The 1st thing you see when you open the flap.

The inside of the flap which wraps around the box.

RT chest.

The switch for the chest & eyes.

Switch for repulsor ray.

Concealed mini missle.

Aileron/Leg detail.

Tony Stark.

You'll get : 3 pair of hands, Tony Stark's head, stand.

Powering up the Unibeam.

There are a few issues brought up on the web. Some of them are the colour whereby the red is to dark, the LED is not to bright & paint tends to chip off.

Other than that, its a great figure, homage to the movie.
