Its been a while since I've updated the blog, and I've got a few toys & blu-rays which I didn't have time to photograph properly for the blog.
This entry however, imho, must be posted.

The boxset contains 19 disc, blu-ray & dvd, along with a photobook much like Harry's photo album which he received from Hagrid in year 1.

Avatar (Extended Collector's Edition) - Blu Ray

The Avatar Extended Collector's Blu ray Edition has been in the market for a while now.

Obviously, I pre-ordered mine from Amazon.com at a bargain price & it only arrived last week.

The local edition is in a form of a steelbook with similar blu ray disc.

This edition is in a form of paper sleeves, & lots of them.

Pulling the sleeves out reveals another sleeves for the disc.

Shows graphics of Neytiri & movie/disc info.

It is said to be the mu-th-ur of all blu-ray, the Alien Anthology is a 6 disc is a must have for blu-ray, high-def and alien fans.

Facehuggers, chestbusters & the ever so sexy alien queen makes it comeback in a 1080p. Now, you can watch the Nostromo in high def detail.

Initially went for Amazon.com, but when I saw how cheap it is in Amazon.co.uk, I had to pre-order it.

Oh, fyi, I bought it for only RM180.

Its daylight robbery.

Minority Posto!

I predicted it would arrive.

Precogs, sick-stick, iris recognition, drive-less cars, those are a few that will be coming to a future near you.
Minority Report is considered as a movie that would show thing that will be in the near future.
The hand/finger gesture on a holographic screen are actually being developed on future smart phone.

The sleeve comes with a 3d picture of the blu ray cover.

Imprint on the disc resembles that of Star Trek blu ray.
Hmm...

The Spielbergs speaks, on the future.

I was worried about the quality of the video at 1st, but since it has received the "Spielberg-approved HD Master", I guess I shouldn't worry much.
Its a great detective, philosophical action flick with great casts & memorable scenes that prompt me to pre-ordered the blu ray once its ready for sale.
Its a must haves for movie buffs.

The Godfather : The Coppola Restoration

'I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse.'

They made me an offer, & I took it.

Movie buff must at least seen this movies once in their lifetime. If not all, then The Godfather should do.

Set in post WWII, the Carleone family one of the most powerful criminal organization.

Loyalty, betrayal and revenge plays through out the movie. Its an epic film by an epic director.

UPosto!

UP is an emotional experience for me.The movies starts off with the story of Carl and Ellie. Growing up together as a budding couple from their childhood to becoming husband and wife.
It shows their ups & down until a heart wrenching scene where Ellie dies of old age.
Those scene alone makes my lips quiver & my eyes water. 'sniff'

Anyhooo.......

The package itself is quite heavy, weighing 0.24kg................. : P
It consists of :
- 2 blu-ray disc (feature film, bonuses)- 1 feature DVD (maybe so that you could play it at a friends/parents/grandparents DVD player)
- 1 digital copy for tour iPhone etc.

There is a story related to UP.
It is a story of a young Colby Curtin, who was ill with a terminal cancer, & her last dying wish was to see UP before she dies.
The family contacted PIXAR of her request, and their employees sends her a DVD (which was not yet released) for a private screening along with goodies from UP.
She was to weak to open her eyes to see the movie that her mother had to described to her every scene.She lost to cancer 7 hours later at age 10. :' (

Anyway...........

UP is a worthy collection to your movie library. Be it a blu-ray or DVD's, the story itself is exciting, heart wrenching and fun to see.
It is considered to be the best movie of the year (2009).
A must watch for the movie, and a must get for the blu-ray(or DVD).

Another Quentin's finest.

It was based on the title of the same name way back during '78, but with totally different story.

If you expecting Band of Brothers & Saving Private Ryan type genre, you'll be dissapointed. This is more of the Quentin's storyline-badass-PG13 genre.

Content consist of 1 nos. Blu-ray disc & 1 nos. digital copy (DVD).

I Am POSTO!

There's the 'Ultimate Collection Edition' which consist of 3 disc set & movie goodies, and there's the normal one 50GB blu-ray disc. Mine is the latter.
I didn't choose the collection edition 'cause, well, I don't like the goodies.

This time its the Star Trek (2009) blu-ray.
Consist of 3 disc plus a digital copy.
I purchased this wonderful 3 disc blu-ray for only RM100.00! Its a steal!!
Normal 01 nos. disc blu-ray retails here in M'sia is around RM110 to RM160.
The only offset is that you have to wait 3 weeks for the shipping.

ITS FINALLY HERE....AGAIN!!

I came to the office this morning & saw a familiar package. Its from Amazon.com which means 1 thing, my The Matrix Ultimate Collection blu-ray has arrived!





But wait, theres more!

Theres another package.
Why its the Starship Modeler's - 1/72 Viper Mk II from the Battlestar Galactica series! Wohoo!! Yes, another scale model.
